A full moon creates wonder, enchantment and a night full of possibilities. The moon enhances and changes the view of the night time. The roadways are illuminated. The fields are a glow and you can see the cattle grazing or spot a family of deer running through the corn. It can bring about the romantic at heart, a moon-lite walk, some say the birth of a baby or a great night to sit out and look at the stars. I remember walking in the moon light, late at night, holding hands with my husband; talking, planning and thinking about our future. I also remember the news of expecting each of our children. There are moments in life we don’t forget.
On Monday, (July 22), the world awaited the birth of England’s new prince or princess. A son was born to Prince William and Duchess Kate. One of the most exciting news in the world is finding out there is going to be a baby. Whether you are royalty or not, the announcement of a baby is thrilling news and the arrival is anticipated by family and friends. The preparation begins almost immediately; deciding if you are going to find out the sex, what to name him or her, a nursery theme and paint color. Friends and family plan the shower, the food and games.
Nothing really can prepare you for becoming a parent. There are so many changes and adjustments; schedules, lack of sleep, learning how to care for a baby, and juggling all the responsibilities of a household. The love is immediate, natural, and pure; something you don’t have to plan. The moment you hold a new baby in your arms is complete joy and knowing that you are entrusted to care for this little being is a responsibility that shouldn’t be taken half-hearted. A baby can go home to live in a castle, an apartment, a trailer, a farm house or a condo, but each child is a royal blessing and a gift and should be shown love every day.
